How long does it take seeds to rot?
Just wondering what the ballpark time frame is. IE when a seed is planted but doesn't see the temp its looking for, how long before its a write off?
We are having a heck of a time starting cucumbers this year. Weather just wont cooperate. Last planting attempt was just over a week ago but as soon as I did the weather turned cold and wet. It only got nice and warm this past weekend but no signs of them. Wondering if they will still germinate or if a week of being wet and cold is enough to have scrapped them.
thanks

I start almost everything in Jiffy Pellets in the house to control the temps for germination. After they sprout, they're more tolerant of bad weather, but getting them started can be a real challenge outside. (Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question about rotting, but cuke seeds are big enough that you might be able to dig around where you planted them and see if they're still in there. )Sunsanvil wrote:Just wondering what the ballpark time frame is.
