Who's willing to help?
We don't want you starting until after the first of the year, but wanted y'all to start thinking of ways you can help.
Can you assist Mel and the Foundation with the following tasks?
Organize press releases - if you're good at writing press releases would you help others contact their local papers, tv & radio stations?
Social media - we need people who can kick serious butt on Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, etc. We have the accounts but not the time to do them justice.
Sharing images – on your own personal pages. If they're not your original work be sure to cite the source when you can.
Blogging - do you have a blog? We'll give you whatever information you need to help.
Newsletter content - help us create content for the CI Newsletter.
Create videos - help fellow CIs and laypeople with different aspects of SFG.
Join other gardening chat rooms, forums, FB gardening groups, etc. - talk about SFG and the 40th Anniversary.
Classes, talks, seminars, etc. - schedule more speaking engagement early in the year to build momentum.
Do you have any other ideas for "us" for ways to spread the word?
Thanks!
I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

Re: Who's willing to help?
I'm a good editor and have done a lot of business writing and marketing and investment brochures and other materials. If people have something that needs a look-over, I can help with organization and touch-up work as time permits.

Marc:
This is awesome. Thanks!
Would you mind sending your email address to me at sfgkimroman@yahoo.com? It's more expedient than PMs through the Forum.

Re: Who's willing to help?
This is just an example of Modern YouTube. Always less than 1 min and sometimes without words. [kind of cheesy music] In order to capture the attention of the next generation, not to mention holding it, YT videos should be very short (think attention span of a goldfish) yet get the info out in digestible bites. Even if there are 100 one-min or less video, I think it can be done.

Great idea!
Do you know how to do them?

Here is another one: http://bit.ly/bakdpotnachs
PS: Kim, I don't, but it needs to be a stationary camera or cell phone. I want to say "claymation" or what ever the term is. The first one I would like to see is build a box with weed fabric and grids.
TD, do you have photos of your process that could be cobbled together with write over?? Anyone else?

Re: Who's willing to help?
sanderson ... If they can be used, any of the photos I've posted on my "A First Time SFG in Canada" thread or in the Photobucket slideshow (see link below) are available. I can add some narrative as well. Let me know how I can help.
