Does anyone have a good Mayhaw jelly recipe?  Can these be grown in NE Texas?  Mayhaw has the most delicious and unique flavor of any jam/jelly we have ever tasted.  We would love to plant a couple trees near our little SFG.

I found this on Willis' website:
https://www.willisorchards.com/category/mayhaw-trees#.VVSMlY5Viko

The Mayhaw tree is a small native fruit tree growing from east Texas to Georgia and as far north as Kentucky. This showy tree is primarily found in bottomland and along the river's edge. It is known for its love of water but will grow well in your yard or home garden, as well. The Mayhaw produces best in partial to full sun locations and is self-fertile. The small cranberry-like fruits are highly prized for making fine jellies, preserves, and syrups. Eaten fresh, it tastes like a crabapple. Mayhaw jelly has been a delicacy in the southeast for generations and a Mayhaw tree will make a fine addition to your landscape. Willis Orchard Company suggests planting your Mayhaw tree in a prominent spot to show off its beautiful pure white early spring blooms and attractive red berries that appear in May.
