0.3" last night.   Very Happy  Conant rain gauge. From this view, it looks like 0.4 but the bottom of the meniscus was 0.3". California's Drought - Page 15 Rain_g10

Rain, hail and flooding in SJ Valley, not a drop here! Razz  Downtown Fresno, 7+ miles south of my home, reportedly had 1" of rain about an hour ago and subsequent flooding.  All concrete and asphalt area. Not a drop here!  I could hear Thor playing with his hammer and peg set so I scurried around with two more short projects, moving rich compost from a casual, semi open-bottom compost bin over to the 3' x 3' flower spot.  Then poking holes in the plastic liners of the new hanging baskets so the new flowers wouldn't drown.

Others?

We've had 2 or 3 more showers and now it's starting up again. For us, it should be gone by noon.

YEE-HAH! Our little corner of California is OUT OF THE DROUGHT! The latest drought monitor shows us at "abnormally dry." Last year at this time we were at "exceptional drought." We came up 4 categories since the start of el nino. Parts of central and southern California are still in serious trouble, but they get most of their water from us and now that won't be a hardship.  cheers

It would be great if it started something. This no-such-thing-as-global-warming trend is really getting scary -- especially in tornado alley and the coral reefs.  Sad

Unfortunately, the Central Valley does not get water from any of the systems. We get water from our part of the mountains, and most of it must go to the Bay and So. Cal. On the news, I saw that the Bass Lake area got a good rain. Not here, though. Audrey, did you get any?

Today was a delightful 85, starting tomorrow it is suppose to be 90 working it's way to a 100*F in a few days.

Send it down here also along with your rain dance.  We had 1/2 inch of rain in the last two weeks of April, 1/2 in of rain in May, and no rain so far in June.  It is supposed to rain tomorrow but who knows.  My garden desperately needs it.  Down here in Ga we are not as hot as CA but it is still hot and humid.  It has been in the low 90's F but a cold snap is coming tomorrow - Low 80's F.
