Typing not working properly
Typing niot (is not) working properly. I saw Kelejan's post on another thrade (thread) and decided to start a separate thread concerning this. For some earason (reason) sometimes when you type a letter the curser will jupm (jump) back to the left of the letter you just typed. this ha bseen (has been) happening for about a week or more. I have been frustratingly correcting the typing but in this post I did not correct all the mistakes (just enough so Boffer could se whe (see what) is happening in case it is not occurring on his computer).
orF - (this is supposed to be the word "For" but after I typed the "F", the curser jumped back in front of the "F" (to the left of the "F") and then when I ypeted the "or" these two letters ended up to the left of the "F" instead of to the right of the "F".
Anybody eles having this problem.

Re: Typing not working properly
I haven't had or seen any of these issues on any of the computers, tablet, or mobile I use.
On a typical day I use 3 different computers.
Do you have a different keyboard you could plug in? You can get them very cheap and they do go bad. I find more so now than in the past.
Run virus/malware scans on your computer lately?

Re: Typing not working properly
Thanks for your response Rooster. I can try another kye board this weekend. Yes I do scan frequently. Last night actually.
Has anyone else had this problem. As Kelejan said in her post, this is not happening in Word or Excel.
Actually, when I get to work I will try it from my work computer and see what is happening there. Except right this minute the curser is not jumping backwards so maybe it only happens periodically.?????

Re: Typing not working properly
Yolos,
Same thing is going on here. Started about a week ago.
When I highlight the switch editor mode icon I think it stops that crazy jumping to the left thing. Or else its a coincidence I just don't know. But at the moment all is behaving like it should.

Re: Typing not working properly
I am typing this from my computer at work. It is also happening at work so it is not a function of my keyboard bie being bad . Sinc e others are hvia having this prolb problem I would say it is a forum related problem or an application problem (ie Windows 7.0 ????).

Re: Typing not working properly
Testing. Boffer asked if it is happening now. No Boffer, so far on this post everything is typing correctly. No problems here. La la la la la . Mary had a little lamb and her fleece was white as snow. Or something like that. Thanks.

Re: Typing not working properly
Thanks for the feedback. I'd like to hear from others who had the problem too.
(I wasn't having the problem, so I can't tell.)

Re: Typing not working properly
I've actually gotten thru typing a message without any problems (except for my OWN typos, lol).
Think it MIGHT be fixed here, although still a little slow.

Re: Typing not working properly
I have windows 8.1 and it is still happening. Although it started with the first three words it then stopped so maybe it is now OK.

Re: Typing not working properly
Well then, it just isn't only me. Good or bad, I don't know. I always think it is the fault of my equipment then I find others have the same problem. Just the same with the TV when I get pixilated pictures which is very annoying, then finding that others were having the same problem. I did put that down to sunspots or something like that.
Well, I got through that OK so perhaps it has righted itself, somehow?
It is only on this reply box in this forum that I have had this problem. I did not think it was my fingers getting in a twist.

Re: Typing not working properly
On Nov. 10, I installed a code that prevents losing a partially written post. I disabled it after this thread started. It appears that it was causing the problem; sorry for the frustration.
It's a strange anomaly that didn't affect everyone.
