Mary,  we have a data base for sources of vermiculite that a member voluntarily maintains.  Go to Home, scroll down to Vermiculite and enter your information under the U.S. button.  Thanks for sharing  Very Happy

Mary  I am in Iowa too. You can get a mixed texture vermiculite from Menards in the insulation area and many in here have used plenty of  it. I have used a little of it and the price is low but truly don’t feel it is either the quality or necessarily the purity my garden and my belly deserve. I have debated that in here and most probably feel I am unnecessarily picky possibly even whacky. I have bought most of mine from Des Moines Feed at 2010 Hubbell Ave 5152628265. They have been there 60 years with a very good reputation, they are not cheap unless it’s closeout time but for some items we just have to pay up. They have several grades of sungold which is a top brand. Your price is good unless freight is steep, but so is gasoline to go get it.
