How did you fare with hurricane Arthur?
I'm at my son's house in Wilmington. He lost the tops of some of the tomatoes and the green house tumbled into the trees and has a rip. The other greenhouse is in place but the wind blew it onto the supports so hard they poked through the plastic.
Duct tape to the rescue I hope.

Just finishing up with it here now. Tree debris everywhere but nothing major in my yard...well, that I can see thru the windows anyway. Surprisingly, Mel's trellis full of pea vines is leaning over it's shared box. There's a rip in the tulle over my greens. Agreed, duct tape to the rescue. The two inches of rain was quite welcome!

Re: How did you fare with hurricane Arthur?
We got nine tenths of gentle and badly needed rain. Only limbs that came down were those that were already broken in the February ice storm. I was glad to get them down.

At this time I am still in Orchard Park, NY (1/2hr from Buffalo) spending time with my oldest son, John, daughter-in-law Andrea and my two precious grandsons.
Since my neighbor keeps an eye on my house, I have to assume all is well.
I will be returning home Monday......so we shall see....

Glad to hear that all is well.
My sister in Morehead City where the storm made landfall came through it with not problems other than the usual small limb debris.

Re: How did you fare with hurricane Arthur?
I came home to find that my two very large pots of tomatoes fell off the walkway and down into the yard on top of my asiatic lilies. It was not a pretty site but the lilies fared worse than the tomatoes apparently. Other pots just fell over onto their side.
