Bugs on my chives

Post  AtlantaMarie on 4/12/2014, 8:47 pm

Have found some very tiny, shiny black bugs on my chives.  There's hundreds of them!  They have a really small head and a round body.  Altogether, they almost look like a pear.

Any ideas?  Chives sat out on our deck railing all winter.  Didn't have them last year.

Just as they're starting to bloom, too...!

We had our chives COVERED in black aphids this past week. Never had it before! sprayed cold water to blast em off. Back the next day and worse! Sprayed with neem and gave them a hair cut and they're looking much better today. Weird!!  Are yours hopping or crawling?

Just sitting there, from what I can see.

I'll try to get a close-up pic tomorrow...
