Congratulation, DStack!  I'm really happy for you!  hyper   way to go

Love your pool area - first time I've seen it...

I tried nasturtiums last year and had no luck with them.  I got a few flowers, but hated the color (scarlet/orange).  I've got some different ones this year that I'll put in the garden rather than the old bird bath from last year.  Hopefully that will do the trick!

DStack, your yard is gorgeous. Just wanted to add that I LOVE nasturtiums! I used to grow them successfully in my Zone 9-10 garden but the last few years, they didn't germinate (barely anything grew). First SFG and they finally sprouted  - so excited. I have a tortoise so a lot of what I grow (leafy greens and edible flowers) will have him in mind.

This may be the problem I've seen.  Tons and tons of green leaves, without all that many flowers to set them off.

Last year I grow some wonderful nasturtiums in my BTE bed but I know that was because of the poor nutrition due to new wood chips..  This year I doubt the nasturtiums will do as well. I think we all try to maximize the nutrition in our soil, forgetting that there are some plants that  are adapted to poor conditions.  I guess one would not feed steak to a baby?
