I've searched everywhere online and can't figure out what these things are. They like to eat pollen from the marigolds, squash blossoms, etc. and don't seem to be doing any harm. The orange/black top are wings (they fly) and the body is striped orange/black like a wasp/yellow jacket. Anyone know?

It almost looks like a borer beetle. But if it was just eating pollen, it may be a beneficial. I am looking for an ID too.

Yup, soldier beetle. Not detrimental to your garden.

Thanks for the quick ID! They are fairly numerous so I just have extra pollinators then.

It gets even better. The juvenile soldier beetles eat a lot of aphids and other small pest insects.
