Little stroll through the garden
First ever zucchini, planted late on July 6. The soil settled and it's growing in about 4 inches of Mel's mix-
Another late planting on July 6 of yellow squash in a pot-
Variety of pepper called tasty orange-
Banana peppers keep going and going...
The garden is in transition, starting at back left chard, then rutabaga, tall thing on the right is 3 ft tall african marigold, barn cat Sabrina, and to her right is the orange pepper again- there are transplants of broccoli and brussels sprouts too- the critter cages are covered in burlap to protect the transplants first day in the garden -

Hi Dear Daughter!
Yes Sabrina seems to be the happy little garden buddy hanging around checking out everything I'm doing. Between yesterday and today I planted 30 transplants, cabbage, broccs, brussels sprouts have try my darndest to get your Dear Dad to eat bruss. s. probably have to bury it in cholesterol loaded cheese also planted cauliflower. Put extra compost in the bottom of the planting holes sprinkled with worm castings. The only thing I've grown before from that list is broccoli so we'll see what happens.

Aw, Thank you so much. But the truth is my pole beans and cucumber vine is looking pretty bad and one of the 2 eggplants is a goner.
So...maybe I should start an ugly plant thread too!
