tomato plants wants to lay on the ground :O
i transplanted a tomato from a sucker rooting its doing really well....its smaller then the rest of our tomato plants.... it even has flowers
the problem we are having is it wants to lay on the ground .....i went out today and tied it up....but it looks funny and its trying to wiggle out of the ties..... ...its all crooked.....
should we just let it lay on the ground?
its weird.....its acting like a vine off of a squash.....

Tie it upright to a stake and as it grows keep tying the new growth. All will be well.

It may really be a vine type tomato and not the bush type. Try getting a trellis together and tie the vines to the trellis so it gets the idea

i dont even remember which tomato it came from.....im starting to think it came from a plant that is from the seed of a volunteer tomato we had last year.....the other plants from the same saved seeds ....seem to be growing thin and tall.....
all our other tomato plants have thick stems....and are more bulky then these....
i think it would do better on a trellis.....it doesnt want to stay curled around the pole i gave it thats for sure......now we just have to figure out how to trellis this one square....
maybe we could have a line come down from the beans and have it grow across the SFG box

Last year I had a similar issue. I used a long piece of strapping as a stake. Worked well .
