Ok I did something way out there! Instead of putting my big clumps of dried, hard as a rock chicken manure in a bag and letting it sit in a bucket of water for a day and all the stuff you are supposed to do, I just dumped the clumps in a metal garbage can of water, used some one or two days and forgot about it. Now is has grown a pretty green cover over all of the top of the water. Embarassed It's been weeks, oops.

What do I do with it now? I have visions of using it in all my beds and all the bad bugs disappear and all my veggies growing to astronomical proportions! Then I think again and get scared that everything will suddenly keel over and smell like rotting vegetables!

I reckon it will be OK to use, Tricia. Try a few squares first to see what happens.

Cannot beat actually doing it.

I think I may use it in a diluted form first. Thanks for the encouragement Kelejan. I would kind of hate to not use it.

I did read some where, but I cannot find it now, about anaerobic compost tea and potential toxic elements.... I suggest you do some more research just to be safe.

i personally would have no problem using it, but if you are concerned about putting it directly in the garden, you can always just put it in the compost and start again.

I have used trash can compost tea made from black kow, black hen and dandelion leaves, but I only let it sit in the sun for 3 days and I stirred it up twice a day.

I am thinking of experimenting with this and using it on four of my corn plants. I have a lot of it planted so experimenting with four would be somewhat ok if I lose them. I try to be optimistic but my plants are my babies also. My camera is not working well and my phone is on loan to one of my married daughters. I want to document this as I go. Ah, maybe one of my sons will take the pictures for me with their phones. I will try to post within the next few days.
