With the help of those people on the SFG forum and videos on Youtube Vicki and I designed our first SFG. I would like to thank all those who contributed their thoughts and ideas to help make this project a success.

Look at the corn in the bottom photo. This is 7 days after sticking the seeds in the ground. That MM must also stand for miracle mix.

Like that foundation .... looks much easier to set/level that way.

Also like the location ... can pull up a chair on the patio-pad and watch the babies grow.

As far as the MM goes ...... yep, it will grow anything, even kids Razz

Looks great Don!

WoW! 7 1/2" of rain. I was noticing in picture #5, it looked like the water was getting pretty high in the lake. Shocked

Actually leveling was the most work. Some bricks had to be dug in while others had to be built up. But it was worth it I'm the end.

I thought it was only 4 1/2" but someone near me had a rain gauge said it was 7 1/2". I didn't have the down spout diverters in place yet. I had to level the back wall again and build up more behind it until the grass grows back in.

Beautiful -- Blends in well with your yardscaping and looks like the patio was planned that way. Great way to keep the garden close and I'm sure it will get lots of care and attention.

Is the weed block you put down porous? The black sheeting?

Brand name is "Weed Blocker". Yes it is pourous. Under the weed blocker is cardboard to help stop the grass and weeds growing though. This was suggested to me on this forum. Just about all the info on how to do things came from this forum and YouTube searching under SFG. I am very happy I did my research before starting each phase of building the garden because everyone was so helpful in it's construction.

Thanks everyone for the complements. I can see growth in it every day.
