Hey Chuck! You finally came out of lurking mode! Hee-hee - look how many views your post has, compared to how many replies. Lots of other lurkers out there. Laughing

So for anyone reading, I'll post the events page at Shorty's Home & Garden. If you scroll down you'll see this coming Saturday on 4/28 there is a Veggie Gardening 101 & Beyond class. (The morning session is full Chuck, and I've debated about the second session. It's my hubbie's birthday, so it seems wrong to ask him to watch the kids so I can go.)

Newbie Chuck Empty How was the seminar?

Post  gwennifer on 4/30/2012, 12:26 pm

Well Chuck, how was the veggie seminar at Shorty's? Did you learn anything? Meet any other SFG'ers?

My husband worked all day Saturday on his new business with his brother so I was home with the kiddos. I got more Mel's mix made (finally) and my carrot box filled and planted (finally) and made hubby a Mississippi Mist pie for his birthday.

Newbie Chuck Empty could not go

Post  clswift on 4/30/2012, 3:49 pm

Hello Gewnnifer

I was not able to make it to the seminar Sad

I did plant some seeds in the other spaces in my raised box on Sunday!

More lettuce, snow peas, beets and carrots. I noticed small holes in some of the locations where I planted!!Shocked Darn should have thought about the squirrels, oh well live and learn! I now have it fenced off but don't know how much of my seeds were eaten? I'll have to wait and see.

Yum that Mississippi Mist pie sounds intresting how did you make it?
