Kim from Annapolis - HELLO!
I'm new to the "All New" SFG, though I did SFG at my old house from the original book. I've been container gardening (mostly tomatoes and herbs) at this house for the last 7 summers. After taking last year off from any gardening, I'm back to SFG, and have been lurking on these forums for over a month now.
Dear hubby built me a 4'x4' box a few weeks ago, and I filled it with Mel's Mix delivered by the very kind Kim Roman of SFG4U. Hubby also built two 1'x1' boxes for carrots, and he'll build the tomato support along the north side by the stone planter once it gets closer (we're busy with 2 kids in lacrosse). I have a length of buried soaker hose (the canvas type) - not sure how happy I'm going to be with this, but we'll see.
Today I planted 2 squares of lettuce, one of arugula and one of spinach. I also planted a few rows of carrots and plan on staggering additional rows.
I can't wait to get back into gardening! Below are a few pictures from last week before planting - though it looks no different today.
Looking forward to learning and sharing more throughout the summer!

Your garden looks GREAT!
I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle
