I started my planing on 2-26. Started with broccoli, lettuce, peas, carrots, green onions, radishes, strawberries, and spinich. I started with the larger of the beds, 13'x4'x10". Filled it with 100% compost and a little bit of peat. After reading the book I have made adjustments to the mix. Since I had already filled the one side with stuff to grow I have had a more difficult time working int he peat and Vermiculite. But in the boxes I didnt have seeds in I mixed it carefully. The other side is a mix of the compost, vermic, and peat in thirds as described by the book.
Today I planted my corn in the 6'x4' section (84 total) and 6 summer squashes spaced in between. Yesterday I built the trellus for the 4x4 bed. I also placed the tomato sprouts in the bed. There are onions on the south east two squares, and there are bush beans all on the north side. I still have 3 squares open in this bed for peppers. The smallest bed is made of left over bits from the large bed. this one has radishes, and will be the herb garden with basil, rosemary, oregano. parsly, and thyme. I just put some nasteratium seeds in the pot to the left. Anyway here is some photos of progress.
