I would have built this today if it wasn't for the rain...single steel T-post and 4' wide cattle panel cut to 6' height. The cattle panel is stout enough to need a single post and no frame. My electrical conduit and connectors are going back to the store and no need to purchase nylon netting. The cattle panel was $22 and I'll get two 4'x6' trellises out of it...as well as another 4'x4' trellis for supporting smaller plants (maybe use horizontal and let peppers grow up through it).

I too use the stock (cattle) panels without a frame but I use 2 T posts one on each end. It is more secure in the wind (we often have winds in excess of 60 mph) especially when covered with tomato vines or something that might be heavy.

I was wondering about the wind...do you use 6' t-posts?

I use different sizes(left over T posts and pieces of stock panels that don't contain the goats anymore). The block bed is a deep bed, 2 cinder block high with the 52 inch high stock panel on top. The installed T posts are about one foot short of the top.
